Neurologist &
Ayurvedic Practitioner

With patience, compassion, and a contemporary approach to Ayurvedic medicine, we re-establish our natural connection to health and restore our ability to thrive.

Meet Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary

Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary is a neurologist, neuroscientist, and leader in the field of Sound Medicine and the ancient medical science known as Ayurveda. This rare combination of expertise gives her a unique perspective on healing that has helped thousands of people feel better and achieve health goals they never thought possible. She is passionate about raising awareness for the need of a paradigm shift in contemporary medicine that focuses on patient empowerment and a wellness-based (rather than disease-based) medical system.

This shift first and foremost revolves around re-establishing connections…a bridge between conventional and Ayurvedic medicine, science and ancient wisdom, education and intuition, and, most importantly, the brain and the gut. By teaching these connections and serving as a bridge herself, Dr. Chaudhary gently guides her patients and followers towards a better state of balance and a new way of healing.

The Gut and Brain—Understanding Their Connection

Dr. Chaudhary saw the power of this integrative approach firsthand in her neurological practice in California. Instead of just prescribing medications to her patients, Dr. Chaudhary also began looking closely at their diet, digestive health, and overall level of stress and anxiety as well as family history’s medical history. Her “prescriptions” centered around the use of nourishing foods, healing and restorative herbs, and daily meditation—all of which helped to fill nutritional gaps and correct the imbalances that were causing so much discomfort and illness. The results were nothing short of amazing! Her patients started using fewer medications, their neurological symptoms improved, and they expressed a newfound sense of hope and motivation.

At the same time, she noticed how even her most dedicated patients were struggling to change their diet. While doing more and more research into the connection between the gut microbiome and brain, she had her “Eureka” moment: The struggle didn’t stem from having a lack of information or willpower to make the necessary changes, but from biochemical imbalances in the brain and gut that sabotaged their efforts!

These biochemical imbalances grew from the toxic chemical overload in our food and environment that actually created food addictions that were working against their efforts to make changes. The accumulation of toxins damaged the healthy gut-brain connection, impacting their food choices. So what better way to fight biochemistry than with biochemistry? This is how Dr. Chaudhary created her program The Prime: Prepare and Repair Your Body for Spontaneous Weight Loss, which later became her first book.

In The Prime, she teaches readers how to overcome those biochemical imbalances that make any type of change, especially dietary, so difficult. As she implemented this program with her patients, not only did she see further improvement with their neurological conditions, but they also started to experience weight loss, and not just a little weight but a whole lot of unhealthy weight.

With such incredible results in front of her, Dr. Chaudhary was compelled to create an online version of The Prime so even more people could learn about and benefit from this simple yet powerful program, one that has helped thousands of people all over the world achieve previously unattainable health goals.

Ayurveda for the Modern Lifestyle

Following a prolonged stay in India while further researching Ayurvedic medicine, Dr. Chaudhary integrated the traditional science of Ayurveda with modern clinical research in a whole new way that incorporates sound medicine and the science of mantras. This approach helps her patients achieve truly transformative health results amid modern world realities.

In 2022 she founded Prajna Ayurveda in partnership with Healthy Directions to bring this vision to life, and the result is a first-of-its-kind collection of Ayurvedic based nutritional formulas designed to address the myriad of health challenges exacerbated by today’s stressful, draining lifestyles and environmental changes. Each formulation in the Prajna Ayurveda line has an ancient Sanskrit mantra, traditionally used for healing, written directly on the bottle to signify the importance of incorporating sound therapy with the use of Ayurvedic herbal supplements.

Unparalleled Credentials

A pioneer in the field of Integrative Medicine, Dr. Chaudhary served as Director of Wellspring Health in Scripps Memorial Hospital for ten years where she combined conventional treatments with critical changes in diet, lifestyle behaviors and stress management to help patients more effectively manage chronic neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and migraine headaches. Her program was so successful that it’s now used for a wide range of health concerns, including weight issues and chronic disease.

In addition to her decades as a practitioner and educator, Dr. Chaudhary remains committed to advancing medical research and has participated in over 20 clinical studies in the areas of multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, ALS, and diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Her contributions include groundbreaking work in stem cell therapies for diabetic peripheral neuropathy and drug development for the treatment of ALS, as well as hands-on discoveries of ancient Siddha Medicine texts in Tamil Nadu, India.

The principles of health and personal transformation she’s prescribed and personally followed for over two decades are more essential today than ever before, with solid evidence showing the powerful role they can play in preventing and improving a wide range of health concerns. Prajna Ayurveda represents a new chapter in her story as a doctor, healer, sound medicine expert and educator, as well as an exciting new harmony between Ayurveda, mantra meditation, and modern nutritional science.
